Our company originated as an overseas division of Sakata Inx Corporation, one of the world’s three largest ink manufacturers. The company was renamed SIIX in 1998 by adding an “X” to the first letter of Sakata Inx International, the company name at the time of the spin-off, to represent infinite possibilities. In 1957, our company’s founder, Chairman Murai, began handling electronic components alone as a new business within Sakata Inx Corporation, and that was the beginning of our business.

We have been working as a trading company for electronic components overseas, but in order to meet the demands of our clients, we are now involved not only in the procurement of electronic parts but also in Printed Circuit Board mounting (EMS). This has now become the business of about 80% of our sales. We are the largest EMS company in Japan.

EMS stands for Electronics Manufacturing Services. This is the business of manufacturing part or all of a manufacturing process on behalf of a client company. We are mainly engaged in the business of mounting electronic parts on Printed Circuit Boards. For a variety of reasons, manufacturing is being outsourced, and the market is expanding.

Any field that is electrified is a place where we can play an active role. Regardless of the field, we provide electronic parts and mounting boards that are contained in electronic devices. Currently, sales for in-automobile related equipment account for more than half of the company’s total sales due to strong demand for EVs and automated driving.

“Global Business Organizer” is a word that expresses our company’s vision.
We will continue to provide new value by connecting the various needs and seeds that exist around the world. Therefore, the company’s main business activities are overseas.

We have partnerships with technology partners worldwide that possess cutting-edge technologies. One example is the design and manufacture of the COVID-19 tracking token commissioned by the Singapore government. To meet the requirements of this project, we formed a consortium with iWOW Technology, an IoT service provider specializing in wireless technology. In addition to EMS, we also provide support from the development and design stages onward.

We have established bases in approximately 50 locations in 14 countries worldwide that can assist in the global business development of our customers, from materials procurement to manufacturing and distribution.

Our company will have more and more opportunities to play an active role, especially in automotive related equipment and industrial equipment, which are becoming increasingly electrified. We have announced our mid-term management plan, which ends in 2026, and are aiming for consolidated sales of 370 billion yen and consolidated operating income of 15.5 billion yen.
